About AeroVentures Flying Club, Inc.

AeroVentures Flying Club, Inc is a non profit flying club created by aviation enthusiasts for people who are interested in aviation.

The mission for the club is to provide a place for pilots and those who dream about it.  Flying is not for everyone, but it could be for you!

The dream of AeroVentures began as early as 1977.  The flying club was formally established in 2012 at Gwinnett County airport (LZU) with a 1977 Cessna 172 Skyhawk.

Piper PA-28-151 (Cherokee Warrior) and a second Cessna 172N (Skyhawk) have been added to the fleet. In 2020, we added a newer 1997 172-R Skyhawk to the fleet. In 2021, we added a Piper Dakota High Performance aircraft, PA-28-236.

Our Piper Cherokee Warrior, with 50 gallon tanks, is ideally suited for long cross country and IFR missions - either training or flying hard IFR conditions.

Our Piper Dakota, with 70 gallon tanks and a useful load of 1300+ lbs, cruising speed of 140 knots is ideal for that long cross country trip.

Club Membership

AeroVentures has members of all ages and backgrounds.

Club members range from airline/corporate pilots, commercial multi-engine pilots, private and instrument rated pilots.

It is important to note that AeroVentures is not a flight school.

We encourage proficiency and safety for all of our pilots.  For those pursuing IFR ratings, other club members may assist with safety pilot support.

Only AeroVentures club members are able to rent aircraft from the club.
